At the start of the new millenium, Aixam's "product" orientation had changed and racing came to a halt. However, the competition bug was firmly in place in the company philosophy, so the development of the electric vehicle offer under the Mega marque and the existence of a 100% French industrial team located at the foot of Alps naturally inspires Aixam to return to the Electric Trophée Andros in the 2010-2011 season with driver Soheil Ayari.
